About the Renault Master and its keys
Masters are built in many configurations — panel van, chassis cab, Luton and more. The key depends on the base van's year and specification rather than the body.
Lost Renault Master keys
Lost the Master key? Let us know the registration, year and location and we will confirm whether a replacement can be made.
Spare Master keys
On a large van used by several drivers, a second key is well worth having. If one still works, a spare is usually easier to arrange.
Master remote keys and programming
Master keys and cards depend on the year and version, so the registration comes first. Describe the fault and we will confirm whether a replacement and programming are possible. See van key programming.
Lockouts and damaged Master keys
A Master locked with keys inside, or a key that will not work in the door, can stop a large van job. Send the details and we will advise. See keys locked in a van.
Master ignition problems
Master ignition work depends on whether the van has a turn key or card start. On turn-key Masters, stiffness or a key that will not turn can be caused by a worn or damaged key blade or wear inside the mechanical ignition barrel; if the key turns but the van will not start, the switch, battery or wiring may be at fault. We diagnose first. See Renault van ignition replacement.
Where we attend
We come to Masters where they are parked around Eastleigh, where the vehicle and job are suitable for mobile work. See all areas covered.
What we need for a quote
- Registration and year of your Master
- Where the van is located
- The type of key you have (or had)
- Whether a working key remains
We confirm compatibility for your specific van before arranging a visit — not every year or variant is suitable.

Renault Master key questions
Does the body type affect the key?
No — the ignition key relates to the base Master. Extra body locks are separate.
Can you help with a Master on a hire fleet?
