Common remote key problems
- Buttons worn through or no longer responding
- Remote locking stopped working even after a new battery
- Cracked or split case exposing the circuit board
- Flip blade no longer locks open
- Only the side door or rear doors respond inconsistently
Repair or replace?
Not every remote problem needs a complete new key. Sometimes a battery, case or reprogramming is enough. Where the electronics have failed, a replacement remote key can be supplied and programmed, depending on the vehicle.
We will discuss what is sensible for your van rather than assuming a full replacement.
What to send
- Van registration number
- Make, model and year (e.g. Ford Transit Custom, 2019)
- Whether you have a working key, a damaged key or no key at all
- Where the van is parked in or around Eastleigh
- Proof of ownership or authority to use the vehicle (V5C, finance or lease paperwork, or a company letter)
How it works
We attend the van, check the existing key and the van's locking, and then supply and set up a compatible remote key if that is the right option. Price depends on the vehicle and the key type.

Van Remote Key Replacement: common questions
Can you replace a remote key?
Yes, for many of the van models we cover. The options depend on the make, model, year and key system, so send your details first.
My remote stopped after a battery change — is it broken?
Not necessarily. Some remotes lose their programming. Tell us the van and we can advise.
